Who will work with my child?

  • Teachers certified as ESL program specialists provide ESL instruction in each of our schools.
  • ESL teachers and classroom teachers work together to create an educational plan, monitor progress, and provide appropriate accommodations for your child. 
  • ESL teachers offer assistance to students and encourage opportunities for their involvement in the larger school community.

How will ESL teachers work with my child?

  • ESL teachers provide all instruction in English.
  • ESL teachers work with students in small groups in or out of the classroom.
  • ESL teachers use books, visual aids, videotapes, computers, crafts and games to promote active participation in the learning process.
  • ESL teachers help students feel more comfortable in our country and culture.
