A little bit about me:

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! This is my 14th year in the East Penn School District, but my first year at Alburtis Elementary School.  I thoroughly enjoyed being the Instructional Support Teacher at Jefferson Elementary School for the past 13 years, but in my heart I knew it was time to return to the classroom!  It is my 21st year in education and first grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach! I feel like the luckiest person in the world!

I am originally from Connecticut. I graduated from the University of Hartford with a degree in Elementary Education.  I continued on for master's degree in Reading from Central Connecticut State University.  Just a few years ago, I went back to school again and earned a second master's degree from Wilkes University in Educational Leadership.  As you can see, I love to learn and love to help children learn!

I have been married for 17 years and have two children (Jake and Jenna).  My son will be a freshman at Emmaus High School and my daughter will be in seventh grade at Eyer. We enjoy lots of sports, specifically the New England Patriots and we are also avid hockey fans.

My number one goal this year is to make learning fun!  I will work with each and every student to help them reach their full potential.  I will individualize instruction as needed for remediation and/or enrichment.  I completely understand that each child is unique and will cater to each need to the best of my ability.  I also plan on communicating with you, the parents, closely along the way.  If you have any questions at all, please feel free to send me an email.  I promise to respond within 24 hours.  If for some reason, I didn't respond, it means that I didn't receive it (that happens sometimes).

This website is currently a work in progress.  Check back often.
