A little bit about Mrs. Sanchez...
Teaching has been a life-long dream of mine that is finally here—and it has been a long road! My journey began back in 1999, when I received my Associate’s Degree from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA. I then spent a significant amount of time at home, raising my three children (all girls): Kylie, age 17; Naia, age 9; Reia, age 8. Yes, I am also tackling the challenges of raising a teenager, just like you! My family and I reside in Quakertown, PA where we have lived for the past 10 years.
After student teaching in the Fall of 2010, I was awarded my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. I am certified in: Special Education N-12; Elementary Education K-6; English 7-12; Social Studies 7-12; Middle School Mathematics 7-9; Family and Consumer Science K-12. I was a long-term substitute Learning Support Teacher at Southern Lehigh High School in March and April of 2011 and finished out the year filling in for a Learning Support Teacher here at EHS. This will be my second full year at EHS and I am so excited to have found my home at EHS—it is an amazing place to be!
My life-long learning journey continues--I am currently enrolled in a graduate program at Wilkes University seeking a PA Reading Specialist Certification.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, swimming, reading, and cooking. But most of all, I enjoy spending time with my three children, doing the things they love to do!
