Grading

In 5th grade students earn letter grades for their report cards as well as performance level indicators.  The performance level indicators show your child's progress in relation to the Pennsylvania State Common Core Curriculum Standards. 

 

 The East Penn School District's grading policy is as follows:

 

                         Letter Grading                     Performance Levels

                         A  92 - 100%

                         B  84 - 91% 

                         C  74 - 83%

                         D  64 - 73%

                         F   0 - 63%   

4 - Excellent, Exceeds expectation

3 - Good, Meets expectation

2 - Making Progress

1 - Experiencing Difficulty

N/A - Not Assessed at this time

 

Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies tests will be sent home for families to review.  Please sign each test where indicated and return the test to school on the following day.  Should your family have a question or concern regarding your child's graded work, please attach a note to the the test, near your signature.  Your child's teacher will respond to your question/concern as soon as possible. Thank you!
