Fifth grade science is filled with many exciting experiments and learning experiences. Students begin the year learning about our solar system. We will explore Earth, the Moon, and the Sun, stars and planets, and the Milky Way Galaxy. Next, we will learn about rocks and minerals. This unit also includes a chapter about landforms and changes that occur to the Earth. In the third quarter we begin a unit on Earth's biomes and students will study both our local biome and biomes around the world. Finally, we will learn all about the weather and its impact on Earth.
