DIRECTION STRAIGHT FROM THE ADMINISTRATION:
1. Birthdays ~ Due to the increase in food sensitivity and allergies, we are no longer going to allow food birthday treats in our classrooms at Shoemaker. Knowing how important birthdays are to our students, we will continue to recognize student birthdays on our PTO monthly birthday board displayed in the hallway of the lobby area. Additionally, if you are interested, you may send in non-edible "treats" for your child's class on his or her birthday.
2. Celebrations ~ Other classroom celebrations, dates and healthy food items, will be arranged at the discretion of each classroom teacher. Please pay close attention to communication from your child's teacher regarding those special events.
Please note you must fill out a student trip form 5 days prior to any trips or vacations. Forms are available on the Electronic Backpack located on the Shoemaker website.
Did you register for Home Access Center to view your child's report card? You must sign up in the Shoemaker office Bring your photo ID.
One of my goals this year is to help students become more organized learners. To achieve this objective, students WILL BE REQUIRED to use the Shoemaker Assignment Book provided by the school to keep track of all homework, assignments, and school / home communications.
Check out the pages for "grown-ups" and the pages for students for more information..........................
Reminder.....our school has an Angel Network program to help our own families. If you would like to be a giver family, please contact Mrs Ringer or if you, or someone you know, needs assistance, please let her know as well. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
