Rainbow Behavior Management System

We will be using a Rainbow Clip Chart as a simple behavior management system in our classroom. Every student has a clothespin on the chart. The clothespins are clipped to a chart that is divided into 7 sections. From the top down, the sections are labeled: Outstanding, Great Job (Dark Blue), Good Day (light blue), Ready to Learn, Think About It, Teacher's Choice (as a consequence), Parent Contact.

At the beginning of the day, all the clothespins are clipped to the Ready To Learn Section. Then during the day, students move their clothespins up or down the chart based upon their behavior.

During the day, students attempt to work their way up the chart because of the good choices they are making throughout the school day. At the end of the day, students will color a spot on their behavior calendar in their binders to sho which level they earned each day.

Students who make good choices and earn Ready to Learn, Good Day, Great, Job or Outstanding for the entire month will be able to pick a reward coupon from Mrs. Sauerwine's Reward chart.

Please be sure to check your child's behavior chart everyday!!
