When your child is absent, please send in a note within 3 days explaining the reason for their absence. You can also email when your child is absent and I will forward that email to the office so that the absence will be excused. If you email me, then there is no need to send a note into school.
If your child's dismissal routine is going to be different for one day, then please send in a note in the morning or call the school. If a note or phone call is not received from a parent or guardian, then I must go with the normal dismissal routine. This is school policy. Also, please do not email the note unless it is a few days in advance. The reason for this is that there is a possibility that I could be out that day and I would not get the email, so a written note or phone call is always best!
Car Pick-up- If your child is always going to be car pick-up(everyday) please send in a note so that your child's name will be put on the pick-up list. You would not need to send in any other notes unless there would be a change.
If your child is always going to be pick-up on a certain day of the week (for example every Wednesday) You would just need to send in a note letting us know of the change. Your child will then be added to the pick-up list on the certain day and you won't need to send another note in unless there is a change.
Early Pick-Up- If your child is going to be picked up early because of an appointment, please send a note in that day or email me in advance.
TRIPS during the school year:
If you know that your child will be out of school for a planned absence (vacation, appointment, etc.), please let me know in advance (note or email) and I will gather assignments for your child to work on. There is a vacation request form that needs to be filled out prior to the vacation. For your vaction to be considered for approval, the vacation form must be in the office at least 5 school days prior to your trip. The forms are available in the office or I can send one home with your child. For vacations, I will send all assignments the day before your child will be out, unless you specifically ask for it to be sent home earlier.
