Class Expectations and Rules
Students are expected to be in their seats when the bell rings at EHS (or within three minutes of the previous period at Eyer). Students should always have ALL CLASS MATERIALS upon arrival. Students will NOT be permitted to leave to get their homework.
Hall passes will be limited if abused. (Leaving class to meet friends, leaving class to avoid an assessment, etc.) School Policy at EHS is 3 passes a day per student. Do not use all 3 early in the day!
Students will ask to use their hall pass in French or Spanish (the first time) or the pass will be denied (medical exceptions will be accomodated). You must use every opportunity to communicate in the target language!
Students will not interrupt teacher-led activities to ask to use their hall pass. Such interruptions will mean that the hall pass is not granted.
Students should raise their hand in order to speak unless directed to call out an answer.
The school's dress code will be maintained in the classroom.
Students will not pack up to leave when we are working on an activity and will remain seated until class is over.
- Students should remember that only one person should be speaking at a time. *Please do not talk when I am talking.*
There will be no: Eating, Drinking, Sleeping, or Grooming in class.
ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE RESPECTFUL OF EACH OTHER, THE TEACHER, THE SCHOOL, AND OF THEMSELVES.
