Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Learning Support
Meet Mrs. Spengler:
I graduated from Dickinson College with a BA in Psychology in 1997. I proceeded to receive my Masters of Education from Lehigh University in January 2001. I worked with students with a variety of disabilities ranging from autism to emotional support to learning disabilities at a private school from 1997 through 2005. I taught at Alburtis from the Fall of 2005 through the 2009-2010 school year. I am now happy to be a part of the Willow Lane family and am looking forward to new school year with new people, new students, and a rare opportunity to be a part of the opening of a brand new school!
How the Classroom Works:
There are many people in the classroom that assist with the smooth running of our classroom and I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you them. Welcome back to Mrs. Vicki McCowan, Mrs. Kristen Esser, Mrs. Donna Derr, and Mrs. Suzanne Beuttel! Each of these ladies has been with me since my start at Alburtis and I consider them my right arm. They have a working knowledge of the classroom and know what it takes to make each student achieve to their greatest ability.
Many of the students attend my classroom for reading and/or math difficulties. They are included into their regular education classrooms for specials (HWF, library, music, art), lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, science, social studies, health, assemblies, and field trips.
